Fish oil capsules

I take Omega 3 fish oil capsules and keep them in the fridge.  Lately I've noticed that they have spots in them that are cloudy.  Is this normal and is the fridge the best place for storage?

I keep mine in the cabinet (kitchen cabinet I never keep meds in my bathroom cabinet because of the steam). Mine don't say to refrigerate, do yours? I don't think there is anything wrong with refrigerating them and that is what is probably causing the cloudiness through condensation (just a guess). As long as the bottle doesn't go past the expiration you should be okay.

Is fish oil specifically good for the gut? I don't eat anything fishy (except shrimp occasionally) and I don't take fish pills. Should I?

Not so much fish but omega 3 fatty acids in any form are extremely important to your health in many ways. I was told to take it because of my UC and the inflammation however omega 3 is supposed to be extremely good for your heart. If you google it you will find tons of info.

I was taking an Omega 3-6-9 pill for a while.  Never refrigerated 'em.  Those things are huge!

i was taking the celadrin for joint movement but am in a flare w/ D now and on flagyl. my php told me while i was in this flare not to take them, actually the omega 6 is better for you than 3, and extra virgin olive oil is better than the plain old olive oil.
i hope the flagyl knocks out whatever it is that i have gotten my self into now. i had this twice already in one year and alternate between D and C all the time

9-02 crash w/ C-5-6-7 anterior/posterior fusion in neck w/11 screws and 4 metal plates. multilevel HNP at T & L section. FMS, PA in dec 05. SSI approved after 2.5 yr wait. sezuires, CTS, etc. on norco, xanax etc. i dont know what else is wrong with me and neither does anyone else!!!

Anybody know the difference between the Omega 6 and Omega 3?  Is one "better" than the other?

I'm sorry Softy... personally I don't have an answer. Both my GP and GI docs have always mentioned Omega 3 to me and that was all in the Omega family. Hopefully someone can shed some light on this. I get really confused... I take a multi plus 5 different extra vitamins on top of that every day. I order from a catalog that I get and am always amazed on how many supplements there are, I couldn't imagine taking everything that is suggested.
