So it seems that many of you are experiencing what I am experiencing. Does this sound familiar?
Constant burning in throat and around breatbone area. The burning doesn't go away, just lessens or gets worse. Unpleasant tatse in mouth. A few times in the very early hours of the morning wake up with palpitations, heart beating fast and hard, but seems related to uncomfortable feeling in oesophagus.
I don't always get my heart palpatations with my GERD, but they have started about the same time my GERD started.
I get this heavy feeling in my heart, like my heart has too much blood in it or something, then it does a couple of really big beats and I'm back to normal. It scares me when it happens. (One time it happened while I was half-asleep half-awake. I thought I was dying from a heart-attack!)
