Thank you, Libby and Luci, for the get well cards! They mean a lot. You gals are all so sweet here. I am so glad that Annette referred me to you.
I am doing pretty well. I had the drainage tube removed yesterday. The doc removed the bandages and my husband and I saw it for the first time. It's a bigger incision than I thought. The doc was please there was no sign of infection. Evidently my breast had an apple-sized build up of fluid from infection that I wasn't aware of. I was wondering why it was bigger than before the first surgery. 
My PCP called today to give me the name of the oncologist, so I will call tomorrow to make an appointment. He says we will do full blast chemo, then radiation, and then tamoxifen. But, all-in-all, the mastectomy surgery was much easier than the lumpectomy, so I'm glad.

Kathy, you sound great. Isn't it amazing that you can bounce back from surgery this way? Back in the old days you would still be in the hospital with everyone fussing over you. LOL. Sometimes I think the old way was better. Don't overdo, eat well, rest a lot and let the healing take place. We are here to hold your hand through whatever treatments you go through. There is a wealth of experience here and someone has been there and done that no matter what way you go. Hugs, MK
