At least I woke up in less pain than yesterday morning! Can actually get out of bed. Hey, I'll take what I can get. Sleep stunk last night. I hate when pain keeps ya up all night.
Had my Humira shot yesterday, I think that makes #10 so far. Wish I was one of those where it worked miracles within 4 weeks! Well, gotta keep hope.
Oh, for those cooking for the Holidays...tumeric, cumin, parsley are arthritis friendly! Especially for RA, they are good antiinflammatory spices! Throw in some extra virgin olive oil too!
I'm trying to make a RA and Crohns friendly holiday! Hah! LOL. 
I'm sure my "Lactaid" and no butter mashed potatoes will be delish! (ick....yeah right!) LOL Talk about wall paper paste!

Hey Erin, guess what????? I never put milk in my mashed potatoes. I can't have milk of any sort so I got used to using the water you boil the potatoes in for the liquid. They are actually really good. I find I crave the milk and cheese but a few days of being "bad" remind me big time why I shouldn't give in to the cravings. ;-)

My cats are keeping me company here. One is on the desk trying to attack the one that is sitting on my lap with the leg that doesn't exist. It is really quite funny to watch him. He lost the leg when he was 3 months old (he is now 9 years old) and when he tries to "bury" his stuff or attack with the non-existant leg it is absolutely hilarious. Close your eyes and picture this "stub" reaching out to attack. If you were to look at him you wouldn't even notice it wasn't there. He acts just like a cat with 4 legs. He is the best mouser I have ever met. He has just compensated for the lose of a limb.
I hope you all have a great thanksgiving. Up here we are in the process of getting ready for the Christmas rush.

Thanks Oreo for the good thoughts! I feel so lousy and in pain, and am now terribly inpatient!!! I want the good stuff NOW! 
But I feel it's definitely in the cards and in the near future. It really made my whole year hearing him say that he's interested in children.

Ducky and Erin - congrats on both your new "tidbits" of good news.
I'm having some issues w/my psorisis during the week and some pain - but took it easy as I could (difficult with the kids acting up while out of their elememt.) I did get some antibiotic for that UTI, which also doubled for my cold turning in to a sinus infection. Oy, my first night away was AWFUL! I felt like I was being strangled every time I laid down. I now also have one of those "other" female issues that often accompany a UTI and a 3 day treatment didn't seem to help.
Other than that the week was very nice! I really got to spend time with my family and do some relaxing. Erin - I'm sorry you over did it, I was in a lot of pain by the end of yesterday as well and couldn't fall asleep either! It is so hard NOT to when you have so many friends and family over for a good time.
To answer you question, Erin, I am not starting Enbrel until Jan. Doc was angry I had not started, but then said to wait until I see him again (and take 2 blood tests in the meantime) - if my wbc is normal and RAfactor high - he wants to start me on that new infusion drug for testing. Otherwise, I am to start Enbrel.

I have no freaking clue how I did it! But, I guess there ain't nothin' a little Amaretto and a few glasses a wine can't help. In all, it was worth it. Made everybody happy. My brother in laws father broke my toilet though. That's suppose to be MY job. LOL.

So, I am officially 12 days late with "aunt Flow". Either Joe scared it away for good or I don't know what?? Took a preggy test Thursday at 5am (was up all night thinkin' about it)....but...NEGATIVE.

I actually should NOT relax.....I have got to buckle down and get a bunch of things accomplished, or at least started! The test will be actually focusing and DOING some of this stuff.
I am tired and still stuffy, but the horrible infection stuff is cleared up - so I don't feel like I'm being suffocated anymore AND I don't have to go to the bathroom every 3 minutes!
I'm sorry to hear about your bathroom time yesterday. What a pain in the...oh wait! I mean what a drag! Is it from WHAT you ate or just that you did eat? There has got to be some way this can get under control.....

Hey Erin - Hope you are feeling better... sorry your bro-in-law broke your toilet! How funny! Did he fix it? Yup in under 3 hours I had a turkey, 2 pies, sweet potatoes, green bean casserole, mashed potatoes, gravy rolls and cranberry sauce done... and I was wiped out afterward! But it was good and I love the left-overs, have my green beans in the oven right now as a matter of fact... I love green bean casserole.

I hope you are all doing half as well as I am. Lowered my hits of MTX, riding harder than ever, and not crashing as much as I have over the past few months
Did the El Tour in Tucson (109 miles) and felt pretty good despite running low on sodium, I fought leg cramps the last 20 miles.
I have to say that I feel bad sometimes coming around and posting because I feel so good, and I know all that seperates me from some of you who are still suffering is a little luck. I know what you are all going through, but except for the fact that my belly is a pin cushion, I have not felt bad in many months. I guess I'm sorry you feel so bad while I feel so good

Long time no see! I was wondering how the Tucson ride went... glad to hear that you are doing well and not crashing as much! You would be proud of me, I didn't wreck at all today! (does stepping off the bike count?) WOO-HOO! I do, however, have a nice bruise on the back of my left calf from the pedal hitting it... dang-it. Oh well...
So good to hear that you are feeling so much better and you don't have to take the MTX as much anymore... I am hoping to keep on with this fitness stuff and maybe be in the same boat as you sson.. I feel pretty good, as long as I can get my immune system to co-operate with me! I get going good for a while, then WHAM-O! I am sick with some type of infection. So far, so good... Has been 2 weeks and I feel great. Please don't feel bad in posting here when you feel good... It gives us all hope, that we will some day be in your shoes!

Me and Joe put up christmas decorations yesterday. Looks wonderful. I injured my shoulder blade...got cracked on a piece of wood. Hope everyone is takin it easy!

Well, that Katie Couric is at it again...not only has she shown us her bowels, this morning she swallowed that camera pill! I'm gonna write her & ask her to have knee replacement surgery...just to see if I wanna go through with it. LOL.
