Hi! I saw my onc the other day and all is good! I don't see him for 1 year now and then that will be it! Breaks my heart, it does! LOL! I will be seeing my reg DR about whether or not I should take something since I am no longer on tamoxifen. I was suppose to finish it till July, but I am not going to. I really don't think that 3 mo is going to be so important, and I just want to stop now.
he other news is that I saw my rhuematologist for my 2nd appt and I have Ankylosing Spondylitis. It is arthritis effecting the spine. I guess that is why my hips hurt so much too. I really hope it does not progress, but it has already gotten worse over time so I don't know. I do have the HLA-B27 gene inherited from one of my parents. Oh goodie. You can have the gene and not have AS, so I hope if I passed it on to my kids they don't get it. I am now reading all I can about this, and found a message board that deals with it and is quite active. These boards are so good for learning =) and making great friends! Anyway, if any of you have any knowledge of this, please let me know as I am still in the learning phase. At least I know now that I am not just a "whimp" and really do have a reason to hurt so much. The Arthrotec is working well thought, thank God, so I hope it continues! Well love you all! Sorry to hear about the AS. I did not know anything about it before, so will learn along with everyone else. It is not a nice sounding name or problem. Will keep hoping that the medication does it's job for you. Hugs MK
Hi Gail! Glad you are getting relief from the Arthotec. If you remember, I've been on Bextra for the RA and it has just been taken off the market. I just had my rx refilled so I have enough for another month, but I know I am going to have to switch. I've been through most of the NSAIDs already so I am not sure what my rheumatologist will try next. Congrats on the good onc visit! L&H, Frayda
