I don't see anyone talking about a colon resection which I have had recently but a lot of the symptoms I see everyone talking about, ie. IBS sounds familiar. I have had diverticulosis for many years and two months ago I had surgery. I am still recovering
from that, but wondered if anyone here went through the same thing??
Hi Wasagya, Welcome to Healing Well... we have a couple of people on the IBS forum that suffer from Diverticulosis (including me :) however none of us I believe have had to go the surgery route yet. You might get some more luck in the ostomie forum (if you click the drop down button above where it says Forum Quick Jump, you should be directed there). Please talk about your IBS symptoms with us though. You may find that a few might identify with your symptoms and may be able to give you some tips on how they control their symptoms. Take Care
There is a Crohn's disease forum here at Healing Well. Many of our posters there have had resections due to their disease. If you have a question in regards to your resection, you can come over and post it. It's likely that someone will be able to answer questions. It is helpful to know what part of your colon and how much was removed. Hope your recovery goes smoothly.
