Has anyone else here had a stroke, or TIA's? Has it left you with any permanent problems to deal with, or are you doing okay now?

i had a stroke and did not see the dr. i know i had one i went blind in bothe eyes temperarily and things were crossed eyed in my vision. i could not stand up only fell sidesways if i tried to stand and my speach was unrecognizable i slept for about 17 hours. told my doctor at next visit . he did nothing but kinda laugh like i was crazy. didnt do a test or note it. i felt embarrassed and not taken seriossly. i am 59 years old. gave me little self worth.
i have heard ot them it can be caused by white matter by the white matter area of the front lobe of the brain. i think i have had at least one main stroke by it and several near straight up strokes . but they are transient so they dont cause long term damage. but they are warning of potetial for u to have one. its a myrtery stil to me... i feel like the mystery diagnosos patient on tv.
