I have a biopsi scheduled for Monday afternoon on my uterus.  I can't believe this.  This is a bad dream. 
 
I started bleeding yesterday.  Nothing big but kinda period like.  Since I have not had a period in three years (had ovaries removed in '01)figured a trip to the gynocologist was in order. 
 
While he said this can happen from time to time he wants to do an ultrsound and a biopsi to rule out uterine cancer.  Told me "not to worry" but he "just wants to make sure"  Told him I heard that song and dance routine before. 
 
Will keep everyone posted.  Kathy, I have not told my family yet other then Tony so please don't say anything to HowieSteve.

Well that was not in the brochure...seems we just get surprises all the time...Hopefully this is a big fat nothing and you will breathe a giant sigh of relief when it is over...

BTW, what happened with the interview in Dearborn? Comin' to Michigan?

Why, in the blankity-blank would they take ovaries and leave a uterus?  Or vice versa?  This makes no sense to me.  My aunt had a hysterectomy, post-menopausal, and then got ovarian cancer.
 
It's probably just a fibroid, annette...i've had a couple since hitting menopause like a brick wall, and symptoms are very similar to light periods.  But then, you've had the tamoxifen, haven't you....

Always something isn't it?  About the time you think you can relax a little, something else hits you like a lead balloon.  Will keep you in my prayers that it is a fibroid cyst and nothing major.  If it is, we will help you deal with it.  You will have pink feathers floating all around you my dear.

I wish I would have just been gutted three years ago but I am sure now I would be worried about cervical cancer.  So life goes on.  I was on Taxmoxifin for six months and that was in June of 2000 through Dec of 2000.  I just feel like I am having a period.  I have even breaking out on my face. 

My doctor had a hard time getting approval for getting ovaries out.  Had to tell the wonderful insurance company it was in my best interest.  I think that there better be a special room for them after they die.  One where they can see all the fun but they can't be part of it.
