Headache with upset stomach/burning

Just wondered if anyone else gets pounding headache when their stomach is burning/nausea? I have many tests, and my GI Dr. says it's "acid". I've taken Nexium, Zantac, etc., with not much relief. My stomach calms down for a couple of months and then I wake up one morning with a terrible headache and nausea/pain. I also have Celiac disease, but I don't they are connected.

Hi CathyC... wellcome to HealingWell.  I am also a new member.  I have been suffering from headaches, off and on, for many years.  I can go for months w/o one, and then one day they start up again and I will have a headache every day for weeks or months.  I have 2 theories about my headaches.  My dentist tells me I grind my teeth, and headaches are a common symptom of that.  I also take Nexium for GERD, and headaches are a common side effect.  My headaches don't seem to be related directly to my stomach problems as it sounds they are with yours.  Are you under much stress in your life?  I know from personal experience, stress can wreak havoc on one's health, and headaches and stomache issues can be very typical manifestations of stress.  Another thought is this... if you are taking NSAIDs for your headaches, you could be causing your stomach problems...
