Believe it or not I am still around. So much to tell. Lets start with onc visit last week. I finally made it to the "return in one year" club. All test within normal limits. Can't beat that !
Family up date. Oldest ds still in iraq. It has been a hard tour for him so far. He has lost three of his buddies, one being his best friend. dh,youngest ds and I went to Mobile Ala in Sept for the funeral. It was so emotional yet such an honor to be there to celebrate this fine soldiers life.
DD happily married. If I can ever figure out how to put pictures on here, I will. MK I think you told me once, but I can't find it.
Youngest ds is in his second year at University of Cincinnati in aerospace engineering. He has been interviewed by NASA in Houston, Naval Research in Washington DC and Quartus in San Diego for co op jobs. He chose San Diego. I think I bust his bubble of freedom when I informed him, his uncle lives 20 miles from there and works in San Diego. HE HE.
For all that remembers my drama with dh and the separation of two years, things are going well. We have been back together for six months and the second honeymoon is still on. I think he has finally figured out I am my own person these days and will stand up for myself. Can't complain as we are both really trying which is a big improvement.
I have changed jobs and now work for Hospice of Dayton. I work with patients that reside in different nursing homes. This has to be the most rewarding job I have ever done as a nurse. Working with terminally ill patients has taught me how to live and I am indebted to each and every patient I take care of.
Well that's about it. I will try to do better being involved on the board in the future.
