Hi All.
I have a friend who was diagnosed with hep c about 4 weeks ago. She went to the doc because I told her she was very yellow. She hasnt been feeling well for months now. She has no job, no insurance and was able to get the co that makes interferon give it to her free as a compassion case. She cannot afford the doc or all the lab work that needs to be done on a weekly basis and so she has decided to just wait it out and hope that she can find a jb and the insurance and so on... Not smart, I dont think, but I am trying to find out what the mortality rate is on those who do not get treatment. I cant seem to find it. We dont know how long she has had the Hep C, but assume that she contracted it back in the 70's as she was a hippie kinda girl and shared needles. Anyone have any insight? She has gotten to be in oretty bad shape this last week or so with ALL of the sypmtoms and I am seriously concerned.
