hey mama! hey mama!i was on the phone with a dear friend of mine last nite, we worked together for a very very long time. so, he's having a problem and i got him to look through HW @ the chronic fatigue syndrome forum...he's very sluggish and doesn't feel "good".
i remember a while back you mentioned you had a bad bout with Epstein Bar and mono. well, after seeing a slew of doctors...the only thing he tested + for was EBV and mono. i believe that from watching him over the years it is a chronic condition rather than in an acute stage. he did have chicken pox, encephalitis @ age 36 (or around 36).
so, i got him to post a thread on the CFS forum last nite and didn't really get the responses i was hoping for him to get. BUT THEN I THOUGHT OF YOU!!!
i know that a culprit behind CFS is EBV and mono. i tried my best at explaining all i knew about it...how many many many people carry it...but for some reason, it affects some folks greater than others.
what i'm asking for is a favor! 
would you (if you have time) take a peak @ the chronic fatigue syndrome forum and look at the thread entitled "Epstein bar virus" started by rscott.?? i think it would help him to hear from someone who has to deal with EBV and how it affects them, how it started for you...who did you see about it and such.

i'm hoping he gets some good responses from people who deal with EBV...it would really be helpful.

Yup...I'll head there right away and take a look. I don't know if I have many answers, if any - but he might be happy to hear from someone who has dealt with it.
you're the BEST mama!i totally agree that having heard personal experiences are a heck of a lot better of a help than just slaving over text books and journals and "what THEY" tell you about a certain condition.
some of my best reassurance never came from the docs, it came from HW. a lot of truth is told throughout our posts...probably better communication goes on here than in a dr.s office!
