hey guys

I finally got my drain tube out this past Monday.  Hurt like you know what sad
I was really glad.  It was starting to be a pain in the .....well, you know.  Anyway, all my tests are done.  The results have all been sent to my onc doc.  I go to see him this Monday and I guess he'll tell me when my first chemo treatment is.  I'm getting pretty nervous.  I'll be in the hospital in outpatient for my first time so they can monitor me.
I'm still very sore where the surgery was.  I guess that's normal.  Sometimes I still have pains go thru the area, but it's only been 2 weeks so....I'll let you guys know some more news when I know.  Talk to you later.  Prayers to all.

I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. You have not heard the results of your tests yet? My you are a patient lady, most of us would have been climbing the walls. Glad the tubes are all gone and the real healing can begin. Some hurt more than others, but then we all have different thresholds of pain, too. Just do what you can to keep yourself comfortable, rest and eat well for good healing processes. We'll all go with you in spirit to the oncs on Monday. Hugs MK

Hi Tamaralynn,

Well, it isn't exactly a picnic, that first chemo, but I felt good that I was continuing my war against this freakin disease. Visualizing the chemo going after the cancer cells pac-man style also helps. The worse I felt, the more I visualized them kicking butt.

I'll be praying for you.

L&H,
Rita

Yea!!! The drains are out. When mine were finally pulled, I felt human again. Remember you are NOT superwoman. Two weeks is still serious healing time. Take care of yourself.

I will be praying for you, hoping the chemo is not to bad. It will help you be better.

Hugs,
Candy

Many Blessings for the New Year

Life may not be the party

 we hoped for,

but while we are here we might as

well dance.

The first time I had a drain tube taken out - ouch!!!!!! I was so glad it was in my surgeon's office because I figured he'd had to sew me back together. HA HA  The second time I had tubes out I was still in hospital and the nurse let me know when the surgeon was coming down the hall.  Did I ever push the button on my pain pump!!!!!!!!!!  HA HA yeah

Will be remembering you when you go to onc.  Chemo is not fun but hey - at least you know you're fighting the ugly disease.  Remember you're kicking cancer in the butt!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey guys
Thanks for the encouraging words and making me laugh. Nature's Spirit thanks for the cyber teddy bear. MK I've been patient about test results because the onc told me he doubts that it has spread. I just don't think about it. Rita, I love your idea of pacman going after cancer cells. That was funny! I will keep visualizing that during my chemo! Candy, I know I'm not superwoman but I hate not being able to do whatever I want to. I'm not used to that. Teresa, I like your idea of kicking cancer in the butt!!!! That's a good one, too.
Thanks for all you guys. You've been great. I'll let you know more later.
Hugs and prayers to all

I remeber how thrilled I was to get that darned drain pulled. So, I know how thrilled you are to be rid of it. Just give your body time to recover from the surgery. Don't forget to do the exercises to help restore the range of motion in your arm Good luck with the chemo. I did not have chemo, but we have lots of chemo grads here who will guide you though it. Hugs, Lauri

Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.

I snuggle my teddy bear every nite, well honestly there for a couple of years my little girl slept with it.. BUT I GOT IT BACK har har!! My papa gave it to me when I was 3, so he's aged with me!  He's lost alot of weight due to my dog finding him to be a very good chew toy, And when I was younger~ poor Teddy was thrown up into the air while my older brothers kept him up there with the water hose, seeing how long they could keep him airborn... eyes   Brothers can be soo mean!  Oh and I almost forgot when I got married, dear ol' hubby couldn't hang having Ted there in the middle of us so he sat up the top shelf for awhile..
This might sound silly... but he's been with me everywhere I've gone, road trips, campin trips, hospital trips ;)

Just wish I could send ya a real teddybear, instead of a cyber one... Hugs too!

Can I ask you something? I think I know what a drain tube is, I have heard of them being used for stomach problems but where was yours? And what does it drain? If it's not to personal? I'm tryin to catch up on all these posts, but alot doesnt make sense to me and it'd help to know what to pray for :-)
