Hip Pain

Chocolat - - I found the Traumeel. I notice there arte the tablets and the creme. Did you get relief by using the tablets? The creme? or both? Please advise so I know which to order - or both! Also, what was your "time frame" for relief? Thanks again for your help. Regards...Tom M
I have Fibromyalgia and Severe Arthritis.

I got the sublingual tablets.   Results :   IMMEDIATE

There was a letting go of tense muscles, and the pain was better immediately too.   Almost as soon as the thing disolved actually.

The hip pain was much better in a week, in two it was gone.

Many of my fibro folks on another board have used it ...MOST with the same results.   about 95%    They say only a few folks aren't helped with homepathic methods.

I can't say enough good things about it.  I could barely walk..or lay on either side from sciatica.  All of that is much better and the hip pain is gone.

I take 2 a day but you can take 3.

SIDE BENEFIT:   ENERGY

Chocolat - - Thanks for the info. I am going to order the sublingual tablets. I will keep you posted as to my success with them! I am glad for you that you are pain-free with them, as chronic pain can really tire you out! I'm sure it played a big part in your chronic fatigue. Fortunately, I only started getting this hip pain several years ago, but foolishly I let it go, and now it is horrendous! That is why I posted a remeinder to folks out there who have pain (say in their hip or any other place for that matter) to right away start doing something to relieve the pain, otherwise your options for correction of the problem diminish with time. Thanks again for your help and continued good luck with YOUR pain! Regards...Tom M.
I can't wait to hear back from you TOM. Best wishes with it...I think it will help you, I really do.

AND you are sooooooo right.......get the pain nipped in the bud before it's out of control.

This is certainly the best STUFF I have ever used for anything health wise.

Keep me posted.

Yes, anything where inflammation is present....and we've all got inflammation especially those who have ANY KIND of Arthrits.

They are also using it with great success at Florida State, I believe it is, for Stomatis for children with cancer. So it's good for the gut too.

Has anyone looked into possible adverse side effects to this med? What about possible contraindications with the other more potent meds/diseases some of us are on/have? This one sounds good but I personally would talk to a pharmacist or Dr. before beginning it so as not to cause any more harm to my body. However, let it be known that I am a real stickler for that stuff. I have seen far too many people who have taken "meds" or "herbal stuff" that people have recommended to them without checking it with a pharmacist and had really, really bad side effects. This won't affect you Tom........but if any of you who are on the pill want to try this out, I would really strongly recommend you check it out with a pharmacist 'cause there are alot of meds that will diminish the effectiveness of the pill. Used to be one of my worries before I realized I couldn't take the pill anyway :)

This is just a CYA for us mods here. (cover your........) Always check out the meds recommended here with a health care professional before deciding to incorporate it into your life. That includes any holistic/herbal meds as they are not necessarily regulated by the FDA.

I think that at this stage of the game, everyone should know that, and it goes without saying.

Especially if you are on a lot of meds which most people are.

Thanks for the heads up !

You're right... it should go without saying... but sometimes we just need to remind people to not take everything the see/read here and try it out without consulting a health care professional. I care too much about everyone here to have something as preventable as a drug interaction hurt them physically. :-)

Hello everyone, I am new but I saw the thread and figured i would put in my 2 cents. I have 3 buldging discs in my back. 2 in my lower back and 1 in my upper back between my shoulder blades. This was a result of a car accident. My discs are "barely buldging", just enough to cause nerve pain, muscle guarding and cramping like you wouldnt believe. It actually sent me tumbling down the stairs because my foot went numb and I rolled my ankle down 4 steps. Bad deal.

I have been fighting for 2 years to reclaim my life and get the pain under control. I can say I have delt with too many doctors to even want to list, most of which were pro surgery before even seeing the MRI and some that wanted to do epidural injections which i also go mixed reviews on as far as the success rate and risk versus benefit for my particular situation. The concesus I get is that the typical injections are 60-65% effective and can last anywhere from a week to almost a year depending on the person. This of course is with risk of infection, permanent nerve damage and other fun things.

I was on narcotic pain pills and muscle relaxers for almost 2 years and just recently got off those nasty opiates. My doctor was very pill happy and when 5mg percocet wasnt working after a year quickly bumped me 4mg and then right to 8mg Dilaudid. Then when there was an issue on the line and that med was not being made slapped me on 30mg pure oxycodone. I was dumb enough to trust him and found myself with withdrawls and all kinds of fun stuff. I recommend those as a last resort and please be active in looking up medication so they dont bump you up from whats considered a low dosage pill to stuff that pretty caps off options in the opiate world in tablet form.

Today i found a place that does homeopathic Traumeel injections in joints. I am not a fan of needles AT ALL so I happened to find a store that sold the tablets and liquid as well as cream form. I bought the tablets and I am really hoping they get my pain under control. I just took my first one tonight. i will let you guys know how well it works.

Can anyone give me some Traumeel feedback? these are 300mg tablets made by -Heel

Cheers!

Like you I was very active. Walked 3 miles a day, zip line in tree tops, hiked to glaciers.
In June started with pain in the right thigh. X-rays showed OA with no cartilege left. I was told about a new surgery and researched hospitals that did it. It takes a special operating table. It is amazing. Nobody near Baltimore MD is having the surgery the old way any more.( Mercy and St. Agnes do it) There is at least one hospital in every state that is doing the new one. And as surgeons are trained and hospitals get new tables more are added. There were 2 surgeons from New Hampshire who observed my surgery in Sept.
Google Anterior Approach Total Hip Replacement and see what comes up near you.

Anterior Approach Total Hip Replacement: I had this September 1, 2009. I did NOT have to have physical therapy before or after. I was in the hospital 3 days, walked with a walker the first week I was home and with a cane the second week, by myself the 3rd week and at the end of the 3rd week I was driving.
You can bend right away, I can exercise any way I want.
In my post op visit I asked if there were any activities I shouldn't do and the example he gave me was a yoga instructor who was his patient and she puts her leg up to her neck with no problem, and he told her to go ahead. I don't even think about my hip now.I recommend it. Feel free to follow up with me and any questions you need to know before you commit.
