I SAW YOU GUYS!!!!! I WOKE UP AFTER SURGERY AND REMEMBERED THAT I SAW YOU GUYS!!! I swear, it was as if you were all there. I was even calling out names afterward, and I had to ask my husband and mother if those were the names of my nurses, and they weren't! PCE WORKS! Thank you SO much!
Well, good news so far. Dr. took out an orange size chunk of my breast and got 2 small lumps within that orange margin. The sentinel node injection, while painful, did it's job and one node was very, very hot with radioactivity. That is the one they went for - sent it down to pathology, and it came back NEGATIVE!!!!! No other nodes were take, since they felt so good about how much uptake that one node did. I pray they are right!
So, I'll get full pathology results in 7-10 days when I go back in to see the surgeon before moving up to NJ. Meanwhile, I'm going to take a pain killer and rest today.

Great news! I had to wait 10 days for my path report and did not get any preliminary results for the SNB. In fact, my nodes were so unusally tiny, that every time the surgeon submitted one to pathology, it turned out to be about 4 or 5. I ended up having 15 removed via the SNB.
I am so happy you felt our presence. This is what it is all about.

Well thank you so much for that. You have no idea how much we all love feeling like we were there and you felt us and it helped. I remember so well how alone you can be in there. That is awesome news, NEG-A-TIVE!!! And I am so happy for you to have only had the sentinel node and not the axillary dissection, mine was the pits to heal from (oops, no pun intended : )
And thanks for not telling the rest of the group how awful I was looking during your surgery. I had almost missed the PCE and "came as I was". We are so happy to have you feel our presence, it really does work having the whole gang in there.
Continue healing and resting, and keep us informed.
Oh, just want to let you know that I had a "tennis ball" size of tissue removed from my surgery on Jan 31 and the "divet" is actually less noticable now. It was con-cave after surgery and has filled in enough to look more smooth. I still wear regular bras and no one can tell.
