hi all, sorry i ahve been gone for a few days. hospitalized for the first time for this. i hit a low point at the same time higher than something. I didn't want to go, but knew it was time. i feel a little better. Now I have so much stuff to catch up on. Told everyone I had car trouble at school. Can't seem to tell them the truth, I don't want it to do any harm to my on going career. Yeah it's real stressful at school, but I know once it's done, my confidence will allow me to handle it. As far as my disease , well if I can just get the right combo of meds it will make a huge difference. I have all new meds, some I think I shouldn't be on . but for now doing what they tell me. I also want to say , yeah for Ellie and Putter, couldn't happen to nicer people. Congratulations and good luck. You have already contributed so much , so I look forward to your posts. Putter you have an amazing way with words. I can never think of the right way to say things, but you are just a real asset here. I hope I can continue to do what i am doing and hopefully reach a greater point, than I have been. Thanks for allowing me to speak of my experience, although not pleasant at the hospital. Have a great evening.Kitty
Glad to hear you're feeling a little better. You've sounded so down the last couple of weeks. Hope this new cocktail works out for you. I've been in the hospital a couple of time for the BP thing and know its certainly no picnic.
Take care of yourself Kitty
In my prayers
Ellie
So glad you're back Nickie and I hope you are back to 100% soon. Write and tell me about
it, I'm considering a trip there myself.
Love you,
Sandy
BP brings new meaning to Life's Little Ups and Downs
Hey, Nick, I'm glad to see you back, sweetie. I know it's no fun, but I am proud of you for finally going, I've been a couple of times myself. Sometimes there's just nothing else you can do. You will be a GREAT surgical tech, I have no doubts at all, this is simply a bump in the road. You're the best, girl!
Love ya,
Shannon

Thanks to all. Annie, you are welcome on any board. My aunt has fibromyalgia, gosh my heart goes out to you. It's such a terrible illness that brings so many other complications as well. Yeah i feel a little better but still feel really exhausted. I am trying so hard to get caught up on everything, and be a great mom. lol I figure if I can get through this fall without another episode I will be doing well. I just feel like catching some alone time as well, due to the chaotic schedule I have, I really need some down time, some peace and quiet. Even if I sit there with lots of racing thoughts. lol That is better as well. Sandy and Shannon, my best buds thanks alot. Sandy I hope your kidding unless really bad. I am not ashamed to go to the hospital, it's just I have alot to do, I know my health is first. Thanks again , I see my doc this week. I think I will be going off the valium. Yeah one down. hehe ........ Nickie
Nickie,
Sorry to hear that things have been so chaotic lately. I finished school two years ago so all the memories are still painfully fresh. My heart goes out to you - there is a lot on your plate and it was important that you took the time to get yourself well - you have so much to be proud of in your life. I really admire all the hard work you put into all you do - being a Mom and a student all at once. I wasn't diagnosed BP until I had finished school, but I wish I had known it then. I always felt so inadequate and so lazy since I couldn't keep up with the class and had so much trouble keeping it all together which all added to the stress. Now, I just try to remember that everyone has their own challenges and for us, its BP.
Keep taking good care of yourself!
Putter
Hi, sweetie! I'm glad you're feeling better; the exhaustion does take several days to go away, all that energy spent takes a real toll on the ol' bod!
I also remember going to school full time and working full time to support myself as well, but I didn't have a husband or kids to deal with; that was plenty hard enough! I loved school, but OMG what I wouldn't give for a long break sometimes!
I agree, you should talk to your doc about losing the valium - way too sedating IMO. Not just mind, but body too, it's also used as a potent muscle relaxer. Ask your doc about some Klonopin, it is used a LOT in BP patients, it works really really well for most as Ellie can tell you! And me too!
Email me when you can, I will understand if you're way busy, I'm sure you have a lot to catch up on!
Love ya,
Shannon
