I was just wondering why people don't post much on this board? I sometimes go to the Crohn's board and the people there are always on the board. They're also very supportive with each other. Could we get something like that going here? We don't always have to talk about our bags, we could get to know each other and things like that also.
Hi sexywithabag and T Jane it is hard to get information about reversals but i was told it is not as traumatic as having the stoma in the first place i was told it could take up to a week.
umm i thinking mayb b/c its the summer and people are out enjoying the weather? lol i dont know, this obviously can't be the case everywhere, but i know in the winter it was much more active. as i was going thru some old posts i noticed there were a couple of months where there wasnt much activity before. i didnt notice if they were in the summer or not tho25 y/o female- crohns disease since 14 Ileostomy pending-very worried Tried asacol,pentasa,prednisone,remicade,6mp,azasan, no avail Seatons placed Worst year ever!
"For God has not given us the spirit of fear....." Where does mine come from?!
alot of people post while they are sick before they have surgery and then while recovering...once they start to feel better, they don't get back as often. I know I am hit or miss depending on my schedule!
Here is my take on that. When i had Crohns ( who knows, probably still do ) i never left the house, unless i had to. Now that i have the bag, i have a life again. Certainly not to put ANYONE down, because i've been there. But i KNOW i spend more time out of the house, and enjoying what i can, now that I CAN leave the house. The kids and i went outside the other day and played in the pouring rain. For no other reason than i COULD play in the rain.
Of course, we could always talk about the Red Sox!! Or any other brilliant team from the New England area. Ok, i'm gloating. I'll stop. No wait, i couldn't do that. How about them Celtics!! How about that JD DREW winning MVP at Stankee Stadium!! I can say a lot without really saying anything.
As long as i can laugh, i'll feel fine.

As Slice says, it's probably because we're not home sick with Crohn's! Sounds like the right call to me. I'm here now because I'm getting up early to go boating tomorrow.......painfree!!!
Oh, and by the way Slice, though I haven't seen him in a while, I'm friends with Bill Buckner. He's my friend Ken's brother-in-law. Ken and I have been friends since junior high and he even introduced me to my wife. I've known Bill for about 25 years! Super guy!

YEAH!! Bill took some serious heat around here. He's since been forgiven and even thrown out first pitches at Fenway. Too many people will always remember him for that one ground ball. But he had a pretty darn good career.Bagged in Aug '06
