okay ya'll. In the past, I have always felt 100% better as soon as I can get food into my mouth. My hypoglycemic symptoms used to go away instantly.
Now, I feel like poo while I eat and for about 30 minutes after my meal. I sweat, have the dizzies, feel anxious. All the hypo symptoms stick around a lot longer.
anyone know what this might mean? For those of you not aware of my situation, I don't have diabetes (no diagnoses yet anyway). But I've had hypo for about 5 years, with each year getting worse and worse. To the point now that I can't keep my blood glucose up even when I eat. It's brutal.
Just hoping someone might have some insight. I have a doc appointment on Monday. I've been tracking my BG with a monitor I got today. So far I've been in the low 5's with mild hypo symptoms.
Thanks!
Ginny

shouldnt have hypos at 5, you may be getting panic attacks which can cause the same problems
Hi Harry,
Well that is an interesting thought. I'm on prednisone which can cause anxiety, but my seizure med is supposed to take care of any anxiety I have.
Do you think it would still be anxiety if all my symptoms go away a half hour after I eat? I just find this whole thing so difficult to pin down. what is causing this and what exactly is this!!
Thanks for replying, I'll bring that up with my doctor on Monday.
