I am still alive but not kicking so good.

I might have to use that one myself, Ducky!

Susie, I hope you start feeling better. I'm sorry to hear you've been doing so poorly.

Be proud of me girls. I got my shower late in the afternoon and went & ran a couple errands, then went to 2 different stores and looked around. Took a half of a muscle relaxer and did fine with the driving. (At least I think so)

It really felt good getting out of the house and not going to see a dr or a hospital for a change. Does anyone else have trouble getting motivated to leave the house and go run an errand or two? I am fine once I get away from the house. But, I truly think I could live in my pj's and never leave the house. That is so abnormal for me. I am truly an outdoor person. Hugs to all, Susie

Yes, I have that problem with everything...I'm so darn fatigued and have the hardest time pushing myself to get up and push through it all and get going.

Same thing, once I get going I resent any thing stopping me from my goal because I know once I stop that is it for me.

I know what you'll mean,it takes me at least and hour before I can get to moving and it takes me for ever to get dressed as well.Susie I know how you feel when it seem's that the only place I go is to the doctor's and the hospital and the pharmacy.I get excited when I get to go to wal-mart that's sad isn't it.

Thanks
Curley......
a.k.a.Mela...........

hey it's OK, it's OK!   look at what the he** we're going through!  and we do the best we can.

i think i'm the youngest of the bunch? and only imagine what my peers think about this?  and when i see peole i used to know?!

my biggest accomplishments are: getting into the shower; POSSIBLE getting dressed!  and yeah, my only days out are when i have to get to the doctors or for labs or to the pharmacy!  but do not worry!....AT LEAST WE DO, DO THEM!!!  that's how i think of it sometimes.  if that's as much as i can accomplish....than that's ONE goal that completed!  "i don't have to have Ulga the home health aid here yet!" LOL....that's when i'll be in trouble!

i think you all are great, Keah, Susie, Curley, Camama, Ducky.  add on the fact that keeping up with a family, husbands, children or work?  it's a handful already with disease.....so i say Brava! for all the little things!

i just hate it when people don't understand when i can't do an "all day" thing.  luckily though....the people who have "stuck around" through this, are the ones who understand.  now i love it when my boyfriends gets all excited when he calls me @ days end and i can tell em'..."Honey, I showered...got dresses....AND WENT TO THE DRs!"  and he'll say. "ALL THREE?"  and it's like somethin' special! now he adds on..."Did ya poop??!!"  sometimes there's a good answer for that. LOL! tongue

I understand so well how hard it is for us. I have always been a morning person, but somewhere along the line it all got reversed or I would simply go for 2 days and no sleep, then collapse or be up all night. I hate that.

Mornings are a bit** for me. It takes me so long to get moving and going. I have my coffee and then try to do the shower thing. Of course, I truly linger in the shower because the hot water feels so good. But, getting dressed and doing this boufonte on mine (need a haircut), I really have to do a powerful lot of talking to myself to get out to the car. Once I am in the car & going I am ok, but if i stop thats it. No splitting up errands 2 days-I end up in bed the next day, so I don't even try that. I just go & do what I can. I try to get a day in of just walking around WalMart or Target just to get out. Hey, I enjoy it if I am feeling pretty fair. I never attempt to go anywhere if I don't feel well. Another big problem for me is the constant diarhea, I never eat before I go out or while I am out, cause all he** will break loose and I will end up embarrassing myself. Ain't life grand, LOL. Hugs & Love to all, Susie

me too, with the eating thing. people don't understand my reasoning with that sometimes. they're like...you're not going to eat? if only they knew!

Eron when I was first dx'd I was actually afraid to eat. My gi picked up on that real quick. I was losing weight and he came right out and asked me if I was afraid to eat and I told him yes.

Another thing I learned and he confirmed it, even if I don't eat I still have the squirts and never trust a fart. LOL. I went for my MRI today and had labs, then went to pain clinic so nurse could make sure my pump was still working after the MRI. My pump is fine. Had to take 20mg of valium to do MRI. Got back to town & hubby wanted to eat so we stopped and ate. I was really too sleepy to eat much-but nearly had an accident in the front seat of his truck. Oh well, would not be the 1st time. LOL. hugs, Susie

hey Susie,

sounds funny but i feel better when i eat very little.  the less i have going through my gut the less cramps.  plus i get soooo out of breath when i do eat, say for example in a restaurant.  i'de rather drink! LOL.  if those Ensures weren't so darn expensive i'de live off them.

how is the pump doing?
