I went for the MRI yesterday that will determine the fate of the condition of my spine and the extent of the damage. It took one hour in that stupid "capsule" banging and loud noises...I hate that. Then they had to inject dye to contrast the condition of the spine and where the disks have deteriorated. I am concerned only because I know it will ultimately come down to three choices. As I mentioned before, they will be surgical, medications or just do nothing. Those are the decissions I will have to make. I ain't so eager to "hop" on another operating table, can't stand the pain that plagues my every day and keeps me from doing the things I love to do and I am NOT going back on narcs after being over 1,135+ days clean. So, I have to make this decission. I have to consider the extent of the damage and if it would improve the quality of my life. I already had a right knee replacement and should have kept the old one. I had a cervical disk replaced in C-4. in my neck and have a metal plate and a titanium knee. Prayers are needed for me to make the right choice. This is a tough one. There is no such word as can't. Can't simply means wouln't. Grab as much as life as you can. Future is a long way away for those who don't believe. Don't build a foundation of life on sand. It will take it away with the tide. Love a little more, be unkind a lot less.

Oh Sue, I am so sorry you are dealing with all of this!! Prayers and good healing thoughts are on there way!!!
You've got my prayers Sue. May God make it clear to you what the best solution is. Also, may God give Wisdom and tenderness to your doc to help you make this difficult decision.
