O.K. , I am a true member to the bag club, We need a cool name, anyone got  any ideas?
 
just letting you know that the surgery went well and I am home. It was done Laperscoipic(sp)  so i was able to come home sooner, they were going to release me Friday but I ended up vomiting all day, so I had to stay another night.
 
I didnt have a pain pump, I sure wanted one.  the gas pains in my sholders  were terrible, still hurts some, Belly is really sore too. but i'm hanging in there.
 
The hard part is dealing with this mentally.
 
I got some questions, but I'm going to bed for now, I'll chat at you tomorrow.

well I used to have a couple of ppl here that got together once a month for lunch chat. I called it Brown Baggers lunch. LOL
We were bag buddies.

     when can I drink pop (soda)?

      will i always put out alot of liquid?

      how long before you could move around without pain?

Hi T jane.

I am amazed at how quickly you are home from the hospital.You must be doing realy well.

Is it an ileostomy that you have had?

I drank pop as soon as i felt like it,and i have been very lucky in that it hardley ever gives me gas and even then it's not much.

The consistency of your output will pobably change depending on what you eat and drink,it's a case of trial and error realy,you will just get to know what makes your output more runny.The only thing i have realy had a problem with is artificial sweetners,for some reason it goes straight through me.

I don't know how long it will be before you can move without pain,because i was opened up(proper zipper job)and it took me a while.I imagine its going to be a lot quicker for you though.

You will be up and about in no time.

I wonder why there is'nt much activities on the ostomy board. There's a lot of things going on in the crohn's chat I wonder if there's a way we can put some sparks into this room?

I am doing even better today, I have to remind myself to not over do it. When my hubby's around I'll play it up a bit. House work is good for him. lol.

I dont think we are chatty enough either. I was wondering if its because those of us that are "bagging it" feel alot better than those who arent and are to busy out and about to be on here?

There are so many members on the crohns board, there is always someone to respond quick. Are there very many bag buddies members?

I'll tell ya, if it wasnt for healingWell, I'd be so lost!!!!!!!!!!!

Bag Lady,, This is my first ileostomy, and hopefully it's just temporary.

I tried the pop and it hasnt bothered me, (knock on wood).
