dmcT1 = Thanks so much for sharing. Since you have lived with diabetes for such a long time, I was wondering if you would also share with us whether or not you have any diabetic complications yet? You are a very brave person and I admire you a lot because of the length of time you have been challenged by diabetes. Thanks again for sharing. Sincerely, Searchin'

So I thought I'd like to take this opportunity to answer it, in a non-offtopic way...
Thanks again for that post. But to be honest, I can't really take any credit for being brave with diabetes. It's not like I chose it! Oh I do wish they would just go away!
about complications... Like serious ones?
Yeah, I've got one.
To make a somewhat long story short, both the oftalmologist and the diabetician said it wouldn't get better. We could only work on stoping it.
Well, I had started doing Chi-Kung and Tai-Chi, and my instructor also does Shiatsu massage. Later he also prescribed me some natural products (here we go!). I was also doing some ocular exercising from a book (I'll try and post the name later).
And... I got better!!! The process actually reverted! I still can't see as good as I still could when I was diagnosed, but I can certainly see, and read, quite a lot better than I could in February '05.
The way it turned around is actually mind-boggling! But I'll leave that to another time...
So what about yourself? How long have you had diabetes?
While we wait for your answer, I'll say do hope you're doing well, and that your searchin' takes you to where you want to go, and that that place be good to you!
Cheers

Do what you have to and do it smiling if you can... better still: laughing!
