I'm new here. I tend to have strange symptoms that don't always fit the textbook description. I swear that I have irregular heartbeats from my GERD. It seems like when I eat or drink things that irritate my esophogus, I begin having irregular heartbeats too. I wonder if there is a nerve that runs along our esophoguses, that somehow effects our hearts? Has anyone else noticed irregular heartbeats when their GERD is flaring up? Thanks.
yes i have had a racing heartbeat when i have acid reflux. the dr i saw said that if the esophogus is close to your heart, the reflux can cause your esophogus to rub against your heart and cause symptoms.
