I have had my ostomie for almost 3 years now and last night while I was bathing I had blood come out of my anus, I felt it squirt out. Then during the night it leaked on my panties. I have never had this happen before and it is scary, have any of you ever had this happen this long after surgery? I am to see my colon rectal Doctor on the 26th of this month, but I need some reassurance now. Thank you all
P.S. I have a colostomy due to colon cancer.
I suggest you call your doctor and ask them, might not be anything to worry about but it is always best to check in with your doctor anytime there is something new like this.

Thanks for the quick reply. I do have my 6 mos. check up Oct. 26. I went to my family doctor today. I havn't bled since sunday.
