As per Randy's suggestion, partially motivated to the inactivity of late, I've decided to do somewhat of a "check-in post".
As many veterans may remember, my Daughter who was diagnosed in 2006, was pregnant. I posted about a few complications related to the disease. I'm happy to report that she's given birth to a baby girl.
I was somewhat hesitant to post this sort of good news, as I know all too well how many forum members are suffering with disease complications. I hope you all know that I realize that fully, and would never overshadow the suffering/pain of others with good news.
She did have a C-section, so will have considerable healing time. With the trauma of the surgery, and post pregnancy issues, her digestive system is shaky right now. Her next dose of Stelara will be delayed due to being on antibiotics as well.
As a side note, I hope everyone is doing well. Just to echo "Randys" sentiment, hopefully others will provide a "check-in" status.

Tom, congrats on becoming a grandfather to a baby girl. As a grandmother, I cannot tell you how much having a grandbaby will add to your life. So glad to read this about your daughter, hopefully the recovery will go by fast.
Never be afraid to post good news, good news is encouraging for everyone regardless of their situation. I do hope you will keep us updated on both.

Couldn't agree more regarding becoming a Grandparent. Hope things are well with you, great to hear from you.
My daughter was diagnosed Feb. 19/07, (13 yrs. old at time of diagnosis), with Crohn's of the Terminal Illium. Has used Prednisone and Pentasa. Started Imuran (02/09), had an abdominal abscess (12/08). 2cm of Stricture.
Started Remicade in Feb. 2014, along with 100mgs. of Imuran.
