I did the alcoholism & drugs too. Been sober for 5 months now. I went through a lot of med combinations before finding the right one. Busymom, the first med I was put on was Lamactil because they thought I was bi-polar. It made me feel like my brain was going to come out of my head and I couldn't sleep more than 2-4 hours a night. Well the diagnosis was wrong, I'm actuall GAD/Depression so that could explain it. My pdoc said it is a very effective medicine for bi-polar.
