Just called her. She's bored, but her spirits were up, then, we got into politics.
She wishes she were on the outside so she could buy some tap shoes and dance on a certain terrorist's grave. Her cousin was in Athens Airport in '72 when his people opened fire, killing Jo-Ann's cousin and 11 others. He died today, and it's brought it all back to her. At the time, I remember that of the people who were killed, 2 were Jewish. He was quoted at the time as saying that as long as they got two Jews, it was worth it. I remember my aunt and uncle's synagoge in Jersey helped chip in to commemorate the two people from New Jersey who were also slain. I was seven, yet I remember his rein of terror.
I pray for her and her family, who were deeply affected by this man. I, too, am deeply moved this day.
