hi everybody.
i am 23 years old.i went to make tests and they came poz for hep c and hiv.it was a quick test,based on cromatografy which i dont know what means.i went to another medical center to make the elisa test for hiv.this was tuesday.i am waiting for the results now.
my mother had hep when i was 2 months old.i am wondering could i get from her this disease that time? when i was 14 years old (didnt start my sex life that time yet)a doc said i have the liver little big but after this i didnt make any check till now.
from what i read in this forum i understood that there is no cure for hep c.is this true?
what simptoms should i have?
from 1 year ago i started feel more tired than usual,i start sleeping more than usual.i dont have any pain.i have been abstinent for more than 2 years.these results were big surprise for me and i feel very scared.

I was on treatment for Hep.C afew years and I am free from it today. I hardly had any of the sides that some people did. So don't be worried.....do the treatment and you will be fine. I was really ill with HepC but you don't have to be.....my husband wasn't.It is very unlikely that you got it from your mother. They told me that when I was scared that my kids would have gotten it from me. They have been checked...they are fine. I am here for you if you want to talk. I have a friend that is on treatment now too.
