Just some ?'s about a RA

This sounds like that old saying. "I have this friend with RA"

But I really do. I am not totally in the dark about it I have Lupus +Fibro. and have read some on all the above

But there are a few things that do not make sense. With whats going on with her.

She started having this little seizures then she does not know where she is for sometime or who is with her. She had that acid reflex operation and said that she has not had another seizures but she still has these spells that make her forget where she is.

She looks all over and has to hang on to some one.

Dose this have anything to do with RA or the meds that she could be taking?

Her Father passed from this, which she took that very hard Then within 6 months she was diagnosed 9months walking with a cane and braces on her hands. She also was a nurse and I know she self medicated with samples for a while in the beginning.

I know she was taking prednisone vicodin and some shot that she got that is to put RA in remission not sure of anything else

If someone could just put some light on this for us

Hi Sunsign and welcome to the Arthritis Forum... Sorry to hear about your friend, what meds is she currently taking? has she seen a doctor? What have they said? I hope she starts feeling better... I'll try to find out about the meds but she doesn't share to much
she was a nurse herself, and yes she see the same Rhumy I do.
And tell me stuff like she's not to exercise which we all know is not true. Her mom is always at her house waiting on her hand and foot some days she says she only has to get up to go to the bathroom
Its just sounds like she making her self sicker
She wouldn't go to pain management she said there is nothing wrong with her head. sun.

Hi Sunsign. I can't really shed much light on this as I'm not in the medical field, but I can tell you just what I've seen from my experience. When I was on prednisone, I went bezerk. I was NOT me at all. I was in such a mental fog, paranoid, and just a completely different awful person - that could be affecting her.

I've also deal with liver problems (due to meds and health) that cause me to have severe mental fog at time that I cannot remember my own house number. So, meds could increase problems like this.

However, I know because I have a family member going through unexplained seziures, that they can be difficult to determine. The family member, once a big wig, is now often disoriented and needs constant care and can't be left alone anymore and he's only in his 60's.

I also know from experience that when you are in a deep depression (especially if you've never been treated) you don't always recognize the problem and will deny it. I have seen depression and other mental health issues pretty much debilitate people in unexplained physical pain until they were treated properly.

It sounds like something is definitely going on with her, but I really don't think it has anything to do with RA. She needs to be honest with her doc as to what meds she is taking and have a family member go with her and discuss concerns with her doctor as to what is going on with her.
