I'm usually over on the Lupie board, but peek and post over here from time to time as I have seizures as well. I just got home from a 5 day staay in the eeg video monitoring unit. Not exactly a week at the spa but we did get some good info after stopiing meds and a night of no sleep! The following day produced 11 "events" for them to study so they were quite pleased. I was quite worn out! Still am!
Any way, looks like they are coming from the right temporal lobe. My epilepsy dr. who has been reluctant all along to say that thesye "epsisodes" could be part of or related to my connective tissue disease problems actually said that in my case they most probably are. So that was another piece of forward movement!
Anyway, I had been taking 1500mg keppra 2x/day, but having several breakthroughs of "mini" type siezures every few weeks. I will continue taking that and add Topomax to the brew titrating up to 100mg 2x/day.
Anyone out there with TLE taking this combo? Thank you!
