Hi guys, I went to the doctor today. He increased my Zoloft to 150mgs. and added 0.5 mgs. of Klonopin 2x a day as needed for anxiety. I understand that this is an addictive drug. Does anyone have any experienc and or advice about it?
I'm so glad I found you guys. It's kind of scary to wrap your head around this. I'm not a doctor person and now I take Wellbutrin XL, Zoloft, Klonopin, and Potassium!!!!! I feel like such a druggie. I don't like feeling so weak, so not in control. Any advice or kind words would be welcome . . .
Hi - I was put on Klonopin (with Remeron) for Anxiety about four weeks ago. 0.5mg twice a day. It has been working really well for anxiety. I have so much anxiety since losing my job a week ago, and having to cope and deal with interviewing and no money again..and the Klonopin has helped tremendously. The Remeron is working pretty good as well. I was in the Hospital for depression and the nurse told me that everyone likes the Klonopin and that it is not as addictive as Xanax.

Hi Sadsunshine, I was visting over in the anxiety forum, and I too just had my zoloft increased, and Klonipin added to mix. Just thought I would drop in and say hi here too, I feel I kinda need to be in the depression and anxiety forums these days, as it is plaguing me so much. I used to post alot in the lupus forum, but I feel so out of the loop now, so many new people. I do not know if I have lupus or not, but my doctor does admit to something of an autoimmune nature, so I dont know, I have many lupus like symptoms, but not enoguh for a dx. I was dx a couple months ago with severe IC interstitial cystitis, I wish we had a forum on healing well for that, I knwo there is others out there, but I dont feel as comfortable on them as I do here. Anyway Sunshine I will be praying you get some refleif from your new mix of meds, and I will keep posted to how mine our goign as well, take care....***Take Care.....Sheryl***

Rianna you wrote you were taking klonipin with remeron, is the remeron for restless leg syndrome, I never really discussed it with the doctor, but when I am sitting my legs are going a million miles an hour, my family can tstand it, and tell me to stop it, but I cant help it, walking around helps some, but sitting is awful. when you say you are taking klonipin with the remeron, is that is a combonation pill of the two medications or are you taking a klonipin and then a remeron. Thanks Sheryl, The Klonopin seems to be working. The psychiatrist called today (that's a first!!) and said he wants me to see an endochrinologist! I guess he thinks some of my problems could have to do with hormones or glands or whatever, This whole thing is getting very old.
I can relate to the whole thing getting old, I feel the same way too, I see my gynouro ( he is a gynocologist and a urologist), and he wants me to see a gasrto doctor, I am tired of seeing doctors. I am glad the klonipin is working for you, I should probably bump up to half tab in the moring and whole at night, just didnt want to go up to fast with it, but if it will give me relief I will try. Hi! I take 50mgs of Zoloft and 0.5 of klonopin. The doctor suggested to me to take 100mgs of Zoloft. I can also take a second klonopin, but I'm feeling so good and normal that I'm afraid to change anything. I think maybe the Zoloft has just kicked in. I haven't been on it for very long. The klonopin is great for anxiety for me. Hope it all works out for you, Dee
Dee thats great, its good to hear some good news, if your feeling good at th 50mgs of zoloft, and .5 of the klonipin, I would stay at that dose for awhile until you feel like you need to increase. I was at 50 mgs of the zoloft for almost a year before I went up to 100mgs, I really needed too, an d now after almost another year on the 100s I need to go up to 150, but the zoloft makes me too jittery and irratable at that dose, so the klonipin is helpin gme to be able to take the higher dose of the zoloft (which I need the higher dose do to depression, have alot going on that is making very depressed and anxious), so hopefully this combo will work out, I have only started the klonipin on Monday, I havent taken a whole tab yet in the evening, and have only taken a 1/4 of a tab in the mornings, want to bump up slowly to see where exactly is enough, so I do not have to take more than I need, even the zoloft I am bumping up very slowly, at 125 right now, if i can by on that I will try. I think tomorrow I will take a whole .5mg tab of klonipin, I think maybe it will help me sleep better. Oops - forgot to answer your other question about the Klonopin with the Remeron. I think the Remeron started to "Kick in" for the anxiety, and I am no longer on the Klonopin, although I did have to take one the other day to calm my nerves before a two hour job interview (I got the job!). I heard that Klonopin is addictive and that for chronic anxiety a daily med should be used such as Busphar, etc
thanks Rianna for answering my questions, i thought I had heard that the remeron was helpful with restless leg syndrome, i wonder how it helps it helps with the ibs, my gynouro keeps suggesting i may have that as Interstitial cystitis can go hand in hand with it, he reccomend i see a gastrologist, it just gets so tiring go from doc to doc, I find though that this gynouro has done the most for me than any of the others, he is really vested in trying to help me feel better. thanks again for your reply, hope you have a good night...***Take Care.....Sheryl***
