Janetlee,
I also have anxiety and panic attacks. I'm 37 and this has been going on for about 4 months. I've noticed a pattern that my anxiety is 10x's worse during my time of the month! I mean REALLY bad during!! I've been on Lexapro for a month and it seems to help although I still get a little anxiety during that time. My doctor also checked my thyroid and everything else. Everything came back normal, although she is not ruling out that it is hormones. She's even talked about putting me on birth control pills to level everything out even though I've had my tubes tied. I really don't think that being a virgin has anything to do with it. Have you read up on Perimenopause? If not, I highly recommend it. You might find alot of answers to your questions and what is going on with your body right now. I hope I was of some help to you!
Take care

were here for you (((hugs)))...
Janet, I cant really speak for the hormone thing as I have never really been that in tune with my body..if that makes any sense. I just never stopped to think about it, but I never really even get PMS though so I may not be a good one to listen too..
. I dont think virginity would be a factor in it though, have you been to the doctor to have a check up? If you think that maybe the problem there is medication for menopause that can help get through it...My mom is 51 now but she went through early menopause (40's) as she was overweight. She went on some sort of hormone pill to help her through it. I dont remember what it was called sorry...Take care ~ Elisha

Janet-
I had a total hysterectomy in 1997. I still have hot flashes. I can't stand the heat at all, tough living in a desert. I don't know if my anxiety was worse during "aunt flow", too long ago. But I do know that when I'm under a panic attack that my body heats up. It must have something to do with it. Whether it's hormones or not, not really sure. My advise would be to go see your PCP and Gyno and talk to them about the symptoms. Meanwhile, I wish I could send you one of my ice packs! LOL! I feel ya! Hope you find some answers, you're in my thoughts and prayers. Hang in.
