I started my chemo Feb.14 and I have 2 more to go. My veins are in bad shape hope they hold out. My fingers and feet are feeling the effects from taxatere and xeloda. But I am so looking forward to this part being over with. I pray that I get a good mamo and biopsy report that I can move on to surgery then rad. If not Dr. Wicha is going to have a basket case to treat.
emmeria, Congradulations!!! Im right behind you.As of thursday I also have two left, but then I move onto herceptin every 3 wks. for a yr.(YUCK!!!!)Hopefully, I'll do rads at the same time.I'll keep my fingers crossed for a great mammo, and biopsy report for you. Best Wishes Michelle
Emmeria, Dr, Wicha handled me when I was a basket case, or he had Gini (RN) handle me.....so if they managed me, you'll be a piece of cake for them! Lights at the ends of tunnels are a very good thing, thank goodness you are able to see it already!

Glad to hear from you, Emmeria. It is great that you are so close to being finished with chemo. Everyone says rads are not nearly as bad. I pray they will be easy on you, too. Big hugs, MK
Well wonderful kudos to you all for the perseverence that it takes to do the whole shebang - not to mention how hard it is on your body. My mom had to do the whole package, plus the biopsy of the nodes, and the radiation. She always had lots of energy and never understood my chronic fatigue, but after all the treatments, she ended up with the fatigue. But she's been cancer free for 5 years now - and hopefully is out of the woods now for life!! I hope and pray you guys have the same joyful celebration (each and every anniversary). Fortunately my mom has gained a lot of control over the fatigue like I have, so now with no more cancer and no more fatigue, my sweet old mom should last another 20 years! You guys just keep looking forward, cause looking in the rearview mirror only wears you down. What matters now is the future, not the past - and you guys now have a much brighter future!
