I am due to have surgery on my left hand (non dominant) at the end of September. My question is how do you all manage with things like closing your bra; washing hair, drying yourself after a shower?
Hi IrishGranny & welcome to the forum. Although I have not had this surgery, I have experience with not being able to use a hand for several weeks. Good news this is not your dominate hand. Start practicing now on doing things with one hand. I have short hair so I washed it in the shower. I use a pump bottle for shower wash, pull on bras instead of ones that snap, same with pull over shirts & pull up pants & shorts.

Good luck with your surgery but do start practicing now. Keep us posted on how you are doing.
