Hey everybody. My doc called today and they've moved my surgeon appt up from jan 12 to dec 22, next wednesday. That scares me! I'm trying to be positive, it's hard. I love this place where we can come to and get things off our chests and have people listen who understand where I'm coming from, what I'm feeling, why I'm scared...it's great. I'm trying not to worry until I know something for sure, then I'm gonna start fightin!!!! I'll let you guys know anything new and I'll be in just to check on you guys and chat. I intend to stay in contact even if mine turns out to be ok. Thanks you guys for all the encouraging words.....means a lot to me.

Tamara-
This may be nothing more than a scheduling snafu with the OR, or maybe the doc has to go out of town for something unavoidable. You are right to not worry till you know anything for sure. We know this is a very frightening time for you...but worrying won't change the outcome. It is what it is, and worrying will only make you nervous and more anxious.
Hang in there!

December changes are common. I remember being very upset about a change and then later when I got to know him better I found out he and his wife were going to thier daughters for the Jewish holiday. That was all it was. Here I had myself all upset. Just this month alone I have had one dr. change my appt. 4 times. December is a rough month. Try not to read more into it than it probably is. Believe me you will learn Dec. is a rough schedule for all of us. Good luck, Joyce
People are like tea bags, you have to put them in hot water to see how strong they are!
Hang in there. The ladies are right. Schedules always get changed around. I am sure that is all it is. If it was an emergency they would have made it sooner than the 22nd. He/She may have had a cancellation and they wanted to lessen your wait time.
You are starting to sound calmer. That is good. I hope you are researching and studying and enjoying this preparation time before the holiday are celebrated.
Prayers and hugs,
Candy

Changed from Jan to Dec??? That sounds good to me; it means you have less time to wait and worry. It's not a bad thing. Hang in there. Luci

I agree with the ladies, it is just a schedule change. Please don't worry. Plus, now you don't have as much time to have to wait and feel anxious over it, and that is good. Hang in there, we are all with you sweetie. L&H, Gail
It's only when we truly know and understand that we have a limited time on earth -- and that we have no way of knowing when our time is up, we will then begin to live each day to the fullest, as if it was the only one we had. Elisabeth Kubler Ross
I agree. Schedules change constantly in December. I'm praying for the happiest of holidays for you.

I make it unanimous that a move closer is great news not bad news. Waiting is the pits and most doctor's office's should know that and try their best to move up any appointment they can. Holidays are always crazy in the medical system. Keeping my fingers crossed and prayers said for good news when you have your appt. Hugs MK
