i am 30 years benn sufferign from GERD and found i have bad anxiety and panic disorders .
i have been to the emergency several times this year like ten times thinking i was having a heart attack it has been a challenging year with a 1 and a half year old baby but i can say i have tried .
i have had like 5 ECGS showed very normal heart adn did a stress test which th edoctor said was "fantastic"but the echo showed that i had a "trivial" valve scar with "very minor"leak he assured me that 70% of thepopulation live with it without even knowing ..
now with my anxiety this was not reasuring at all ..i have thought about it and even wanted another echo but was told can only be doen once a year!!!
i am trully worried so is there anyone out her ewho would reasure me that i can live a normal life with this ?i apparently dont have any of the symptoms associated with it .
i am taking nexium for Gerd and an anti-anxiety drug
I know how disturbing news like that can be. I found out in July that all of my valves are leaking. I also have pulmonary and aortic stenosis and an enlarged heart. I do not take any medications for any of that and pretty much live normally. I do have Lupus also which adds to the mix but I don't have any major symptoms except for fatigue and sometimes shortness of breath. It is possible to live normally. Try not to worry about it. I know that is easier said than done but worrying will get us nowhere except more worried and stressed out. Just make sure that you get regular checkups and if you have any new symptoms run them by your doctor just to make sure.

So sorry glma your having problems. If the er dr. was a cardiologist, take his advice. If he wasnt, and your still worring about it, see a cardiologist, this is his specialty, it may ease your worries. You have an baby to care for now and dont need added stress. Hi glma! I also have trivial valve problem and my cardiologist also said it is nothing to worry about. The secret word here is "trivial"...that is even less than minor. I know its easier said than done but try not to worry about it and just follow your doctors orders. He/She will let you know if and when you need to check it again. Just enjoy that sweet baby ok!
