New hope on the horizon?

In the recent news reports, I've heard about hopeful results from using creatine and minocycline to help people with PD. This is some of what I've heard:

A pilot study, suggests that two compounds (the antibiotic minocycline and creatine, a substance produced in muscle tissue) may have some benefit to people with PD.  The compounds are thought to lessen a type of cellular stress and fight inflammation that may damage cells.

Has anyone talked to their Neurologist regarding the use of creatine and minocycline? I am curious if the 2 compounds can be taken with other drugs and how much is recommended for positive results. I am currently on .5 mg of mirapex 3 times per day. I also take 1200 mg of Co Q10 per day. I was diagnosed a year ago with early onset PD. I have an upcoming appointment with my Neurologist (April 7th) and I will report back with what he said.
What did your doctor say? Is it available now?

Hi

Do you think the CoQ10 has helped you and if so in what way?

Did you go straight to 1200mg dosage or build up to that amount?

Hope you do not mind me asking but I recently purchased some of these but have not tried them yet.

Regards

Chris
