But have been struggling with depression/anxiety issues for four years now and lately a bit of anger as well. Initially I was on zoloft and in councelling but you think you can take it on your own only to get slapped down again; I'm not a whiner but at my wits end.
Currently I am unemployed my insurance runs out this month
I've finally started getting responses to my resume but the last interview was disheartening I got the impression I would put myself in a professionally abusive situation which I seriously don't need right now. Whatever.
I tried vocational rehab and my job coach quit after two weeks with my case which seems to be the story of my life lately. I'm still in but have no councellor and it hasn't helped slightly but they get paid so I don't guess it matters.
I'm just kind of tired and fed up with trying when it's so pointless I think I'm less depressed than apathetic.
Hello,
I have been dealing w/ depression since I was itty bitty! It took me until I was 28 to figure out what was wrong! Now at 34 I think I have the correct dx of atypical bipolar II! Also I think the meds I am on are going to keep me from going seriously low! Good luck and if your insurance does run out please look into the health clinics that cater to uninsured patients. Also there is the health and welfare. Depression can be very serious please take care! Karen in north Idaho
I forgot to mention your anxiety which I also know is very serious and frustating! karen
Welcome to the HW family. I konw how difficult it can be when you are in the middle of the storm and things look pointless. I found apathy to be a real sign of my depression and when those feelings return I let my Doc know so an adjustment can be made in my medication. I hope you find relief soon. Keep us posted,
We can respond to irritation with a smile instead of scowl, or by giving warm praise instead of icy indifference. By our being understanding instead of abrupt, others, in turn, may decide to hold on a little longer rather than to give way. Love, patience, and meekness can be just as contagious as rudeness and crudeness.
