Hey everyone!
I've been a migraine sufferer since I was about 16 (I'm now 30). Lately, my migraines have been getting more frequent, so I decided to give accupuncture a go!
I usually use Imigran (Imitrex in the US I think) and Ibuprofen to control them, but since I'm suffering a couple of times a week nowadays, I wanted to see if anything else would help me, so I wouldn't have to pop so many pills.
I had my first session 4 days ago. It was a bit of an eyeopener! I really wasn't expecting much, but when I woke up the following morning, I felt amazing!
I've got another session booked for a couple of weeks time and I can barely wait!
Has anyone else had any relief from having accupuncture? I'd be interested to hear how you got along.
Also I've got a great book from the library called 'Migraines for Dummies' which is proving helpful too - loads of useful info - I'd recommend reading it.
*UPDATE*
I have continued to have acupuncture, and I do think that it's helping with the migraines.
Also, it makes me feel so relaxed, which I think is wonderful, as my migraines are always worse when I'm stressed.

This is so great to hear. My GP has recommended that I try it. I have not yet....need to find a good practitioner and give it a try!
I also suffer really bad with migraines and I am willing to try anything just to have one day pain free so thank's I will certainly mention it to my gp the next time I go.I love cats I have 3,but they are not peddagrees just your normal domestic cat;s but I wouldn't part with them for anything, they alway's seem to no when I am having a really bad day.P.S I think your photo's are great.
