I am feeling very strange tonight, just kind of out of my mind. I have been diagnosed with PTSD and boarderline personality disorder. I have been taking a low dosage of Paxil for about a month now. It is causing my hands to break out in blisters under the skin. I think it is an allergic reaction. So I am coming off the paxil now. Iam also taking ambien to help me sleep, but I am going to try to stop taking it, too. These stupid personality disorders are a pain to deal with. But I am going to try to do things a little differently with exercise and hopefully with some good emotional support, I will be okay. Wish me luck!
Where in the world am I?
Luv,
Please check with your doctor before going cold turkey with the meds. The doc may also be able to help you with a different med. So please check out what he/she says before you do it.

Hi luvmdo, I totally agree with Janetlee in that you really should consult your physician before stopping your medication. You should call their office today and let them know what reaction you believe the medication is causing and give them an opportunity to change meds. I can see that living with BPD would be a pain to deal with, I have worked with people for years that have had this disorder. But from a treatment standpoint the best thing you could ever do for yourself is to be an responsible, active patient and communicate with your doctor on your level of care. Please do let us know how it goes...take care
