Bernadette! Congrats on being a chemo grad!!!! The worst is behind you now. It will take you longer to get undressed for your rads than it will to have the treatment itself. Gotta watch that celebration drink! lol
Again...Congrats!!! Deb
I'm happy to have that part of this over with. Now onto rads!
Hugs:)
Tell me what I'm in for regarding the rads. You have been such a wonderful help Bernadette. I'm so glad that you are done.

Thanks for your post, I'm so happy to have that part behind me. I have not heard too many horror stories about rads so I guess it won't be too bad. I will keep you posted, but for now I have 2 weeks off YEAH!
Hugs:)
Rads should be a piece of cake. My rad onc gloated in joy at knowing how much easier rads was than chemo. I had very little symptoms or side effects. My breast got pink and the tissue got tender, still is after 5 years, but only feels sore if hard pressure is applied. You are on the down side of the hill and it will be over before you know it!
Congrats!
Lori
Congratulations! I know you are so happy to be done with that. I don't know why, but I was nervous to do my last one. I didn't really get too close with anyone there. It may sound rude or selfish, but I just wanted to do what I had to do and be done with the whole ordeal. There were 2 nurses that were there regularly and they were both very nice.
I hope you do good with the rads. Too bad everything isn't over for you. I can't believe 4 months have gone by from the time I did my rads and chemo and it's over. I hope none of us EVER have to go through this again!
How many weeks will you have to do rads? Hang in there, it too will be over with before you know it.
I wish I were in your shoes, but all I have left is 6 weeks of rads and I can do that. I did get pretty close to my nurses (2) there were about 6 total but I really clicked with those two. They were very supportive and helpful.
So what are you doing with all of your time??? Do you have a follow up apt scheduled? Are you feeling better now that you are done with chemo? Im still very achy but my last was Friday. Yesterday was my birthday and I had such back pain that I did not enjoy the day at all. Oh well when you get to be my age it is no big deal. My husband forgot all about it too!!!!!
Hugs:)
I have been thinking about taking next week off too, I have appointments with my Onc and my Rads doctors so it would probably be a fairly relaxing week.
I see that you take a shot to stop your periods, will that make you go into menopause? Im still not sure about the menopause part of chemo. I was told that chemo would throw me into menopause but it did not. Im worried because I still have my ovaries and I was ER PR positive. My Dr kept thinking every week I would start int menopause but I didnt. I will have to remember to ask her more about it.
I sure wish the body aches would go away I still have them constantly, it makes it hard to sleep.
Take care and don't be a stranger!

L & H,
No he dosn't have a cast at all, he has a boot that he has to wear at all times except for bathing. He had the pin out the back of his heal but they clipped it off. He had his last apt 2 weeks ago and his next is Feb 1st. They just took the stitches out on his last apt. His incision startedin the outside middle of his arch and went all the way up his heal, very long scar.
I sure hope that I start feeling better because these body aches are a pain. Iam starting a walking plan and cutting back on my food to try and get some weight off before Tamoxafin, wish me luck.
Hugs:)
Hi,
Congratulations! I also hope your rads go quickly. I loved my team too and miss them to this day. Wish they had time to visit. I was very sleepy and slept most of the time. That made them go even faster. Hugs, Di
Thanks, I see my rads Dr tomarrow for the first time Im not sure what to expect from the first visit dont know if I will get my tattoo then or later. Im a little nervous about the visit but just want to get it all behind me.
I have been a little down since not having to go to chemo anymore, I guess it is just a little let down but maybe rads will get me up there again.
Hugs:)
