Off Question...

This is not about bc, but I thought some of you may have this problem? I have arthritis in my lower back. (I am seeing a Rhuemy. in Spokane on March 9th) Anyway, The pain in my back seems to shoot all the way around thru my right hip into my lower right abdomen. Just about where my right ovary would be if I still had one =) . My ovaries were removed about 6 mo after my dx due to a large complex cyst on my right one. Also a smaller one on the left. Both benign. What the heck is still in there that would hurt like this? It does feel like the shart pain I would get from the cyst. If I move and my back gets pain, so does that area. Geez, paranoia! I hate this gift that keeps on giving. I have my last 6 mo onc appt next mo, and I think I will request one last bone scan. I has been over a year since one, and now I am running my imagination again. Ok, I will stop yammerin' now....any ideas? Thanks for listening, you are so great. L&H, Gail
OH, I have had a total hysterectomy.

Gail: I have to agree with you. I am tired of this gift that just keeps on giving. I go to a manipulative therapist every week and have since my mastectomy. She can work such magic! I have learned that if I am having problems in one part of my body, it is usually connected with another part of the body. So, don't think the worst. Our bodies are complex, even with all of the treatments and surgeries. I would strongly suggest that if there is a manipulative therapist in your area (they are listed as such and usually osteopathics) see if you can get an appt. Have you ever tried acupuncture?

Good luck and please try and don't worry about this.

Hugs

Deb

Lower right abdomen is the appendix.................. any chance that is the problem? Arthritis and rheumatism is a form of inflamation, could it have inflamed your appendix? Do you have one? Do you have a temperature? Can you press on the area or is it extremely tender? A burst appendix can have opposite symptoms, the temp can drop and the pain not so fierce. My son ran around for two days because his already burst and when they did the blood test the appendix high count did not show up. Thank God he was a healthy young man because gangrene was setting in. Take care and let us know. Love MK

Gail,

Is there any way your appointment could be bumped up? Maybe you should call the nurse and talk to her. If anything, she might ease your mind a bit.

I agree.............about the gift just keeps giving. Even after 20 years it still gives!!!!!!!!!! geez

Sending you hugs to help get you thru this. Hopefully you will get an answer soon.........I also would ask for a final bone scan. Great idea!

Hugs,
Debbie

No, I don't think it is the appendix as this has been going on for months. I just feel it a lot more now since I am no longer on Bextra (just tylenol) so all the pain is worse. I am tired of hurting all the time. Between this and the arm/side from the lymphedema, @#$%. Ok, Whew, I feel better. Ok, maybe not, LOL, but you ladies are great to let me complain...L&H, Gail

Hey sweetie,

You didn't mention any of this in your e-mail. I'll be praying that it's something easy to fix.

Love you,

Rita
