Just throwing this one out there because I want to vent.
I'm wondering if anybody else experiences this. I call it an outer body experience.
It's hard to explain it but it bugs the crap out of me.
I get this about once a day. I feel like I'm looking down on myself trying to control my actions from above or when I'm doing a certain task, it feels like someone is wispering in my ear and telling me what to do but there's nobody else around or if I'm sitting idle, I feel like I'm doing something.
These feelings I've been getting are really starting to scare me, it's hard to describe, my wife thinks it's from stress but I differ.
Could this be a form of a partial seizure?
I've had EP for 26 yrs. but only started getting these feeling about 2 years ago.
I didn't tell my Doc. because he might think I'm nuts.
(Maybe I've been on the meds too long)

Randy, I think it is extremely important that you bring this up to your doctor. Trust me the doctors hear so many different things, everyday, that it isn't strange to them. This is what they do. You deserve the best treatment possible. You do not want to be ignoring you that you know isn't right. Keep us updated. Take care, Tracy
I think it's a type of aura. Last night while I was sitting down watching TV, all of a sudden, I felt like my spirit was removed from my body and I was watching myself from up above and the really weird thing was everybody looked like a drawing or cartoon character. This always lasts for a few mins. but I get this several times a week.

Randy have you tried going to a Pharmaphycaitrist..my spelling..lol It is a Dr. who specialises in drugs. Some times what happens is that your mixing some stuff that does not work for you. Or has started to give you this weird "trips" I am not familiar with your medicines listed above. But if you are having out of body exp. all the time..then I bet it something that is not agreeing with you.2004 in Martha's Vineyard me and my two daughters then 11 mos and 6 all got Lyme Disease. This was only known to us because we found the tiny ticks on us and we got very ill. My dog also got lyme and he went lame. We have fought it for 4 years to no avail. We all got it again this summer is Texas. I am now in treatment in Scottsdale Arizona at Envita.

Hi, Randy, I just popped over here from the chronic pain board and saw your post. I also think you should talk with your neurologist about your experience. It could be something else changing in your brain. Maybe it is related to medication. But you're not imagining it. The neurologist could at least help determine whether these are symptoms that need treatment, or just artifacts you may need to adapt to. At least it will relieve your anxiety to know.

Randy, I also think you should bring this up with your neurologist alot of times neurologists also have a degree in psychiatry, sress is always a possibility or it could be a tpe od Aura although when I did have an Aura all I did was smell alcohol. MistyGirl
