my husband was diagnosed with pd abt a year ago- he is 46, he seems to be getting worse very rapidly, i am afraid that he also has dementia as the other night he got up out of bed , stripped
i asked what he was doing- he sd getting a drink of water, then went upstairs in the buff and went into my daughters room and , i hollered at him to come back downstairs and asked him waht he was doing, he sd he was going to lay down by the heat register!!! i find this very disturbing and very odd, he did not remember what he did the next morning. does this sound like
a possible dementia issue or maybe something to do with his meds?

What medications does your hubby take and how much? Was this a one-time occurrence or has it happened repeatedly? Does he see a neurologist for his PD? Hopefully even a movement disorder specialist (MDS - a neuro who specializes in movement disorders like PD)?
There are types of PD - or similar diseases - that include a rapid progression of PD-like symptoms. If you are concerned that your hubby's PD is progressing quickly, I would STRONGLY suggest you try to find an MDS or else a neuro who sees a lot of PD patients.

if your husband isn't seeing a neurologist,get him to one.If he is seeing one contact him and llet him know what is going on.Has he had any med changes?increae in a current med or addition of a new med?maybe it was a one time occurance,and it won't happen again.Stay in touch and let us know how he and you are doing.

I agree with the two responses you have received. I am a 50 years old male with PD. I was diagnosed in Aug. 2005. My main symptom has been numbness in the arms at odd times.
In Aug. 2005, I was prescribed generic Sinemet 25/100. I spent a week at 1 tablet per day, then a week at two, then a week at three. In that third week, I had a similar experience of hot & cold feelings, nausea, paranoia, hallucinations, and the like. 
The on-call neurologist had me stop the meds. The symptoms went away within a couple of hours. I restarted the meds after 72 hours. I have been fine ever since that day. 
I did not lose any memory during this episode.
