Oh, Nick, thank you! don't get all worked up about how you look - I'm sure your not the hunchback! It's just so great to put a face on cyberspace friends! I think you can send a non dig pic, but you need a scanner and it's complicated - much easier dig. All you have to do is forward the email with your image on it, easy as pie.
Try not to wig out too much about school - and if you bit off more than you could chew, you can always do a couple of those classes later. I am kinda concerned about that - it can unbalance you considering you're also a parent, so be careful, OK?
Hi foxy ladies! Can I please stop saying "foxy"! Especially being that Nickie is a youngin, she probably doesnt even know what the hell it means...LOL! (it means, hot, pretty,etc.). Thank u for the compliment. I hope u dont think Kev is a fright, we both just dont play the "doc and doc's wife appearance game. He used to have LONG hair!!! But ya' know you would be surprised how different ER Docs are than Docs are that have their own practices/speciality. I think they think its more important to "look" the role. Nickie..DO NOT GET UPSET...but honey I have been worried about
all your classes also. It isnt tht we (I am sure Shannon agrees with me) dont think "Nickie" can't handle it, but ANYONE! Not to mention your lil girl. Please dont tell me u work also or i will really FREAK!!!!!!!! Anyway, we are here to help to get thru it, and one thing u can count on from us (Shannon and I) is you will NEVER have to hear an "I told u so". I would kill over that phrase! Like Shan says, you can always drop some if need be. But, I will miss you. Not tht u ever have time for us anyway WA,WA,WA, (I am crying in case u didnt know what the "F" I was doing...LOL). I am saying later for now as I am famished then have to watch CSI and Without a Trace. Wish I was a detective or a CSI...poor, patti...LOL.
Love and hugs my buds (hey I am a poet and dont know it...cant stop, I am all that......IN MY WET DREAMS!!!!!>>>>LOL),

Okay first of all, I am going to be fine, this is not my first rodeo! 2 classses end pretty early in the semester, like Oct. and early Nov. (Classes end in Dec.) about dropping a few, don't count on that, I have a pell grant, so I would be in some big trouble , possibly have to pay those dropped classes back. Not to mention I still had to take out a student loan to cover expenses. I do not work, i wouldn't have time. My parents help out by paying my car payments, my grandma is pretty loaded and spoils me rotten. Jason is the only person that works for now in this household. We do just fine. Jaylynn has everything under the sun, and we never go without. So I will be ok. At first it's always overwhelming. I have 2 math classes, 1 computer class, 2 physics classes and my surgical class plus lab. The only petrifying thing is the fact that at the end of the semester you perform a mock surgery and have 3 instructors watching you, waiting for you to screw up. If you don't do well and have an A in the class, you fail both, the lab and the class. We are getting prepared for real life and I understand , but wholy s***! That is my only concern but I am a great visual learner, so I should be alright. Practice makes perfect. Lots of students take a full load of classes the only difference is I have a little more trouble dealing with the time and stress. I met some of the people in my class, and know that at least 2 other women have children. So I just have to make a time table and stick to it. Getting up at 5:00 am everyday, should help. I do loose a little bit of sleep while in school, but my doc knows better than to give me anything for it, I can't miss class. Strict they are!
My friend has a scanner, tried to reach her last night, was unable. So I 'll try her again today. I really am not that concerned how I look. I think I look great, just need to loose a few more lbs.At least that's what people tell me. So enough about that.
Anyways, I really am not in a good mood today, so I probably won't be on much. Plus I have alot to do. Shannon thanks for the email. I do understand all of that, but thanks for reiterating it. Sorry if I sound a little down and out, well I am. So bye for now.
Wow, Nickie, that is an incredible load. But if you think you can do it, you can. Just really try to get adequate sleep, too little can cause mania, too, not to mention make you a little less than "sharp".
I know how you feel, sweetie, I am down today too. It sucks, Paul is home and it has to happen NOW. Maybe it will change later, I hope so.
Anyway, I hope you do better today, too, hon. Take care.
Shannon
Hey Patti, thanks for getting back, I'm really bad at email so I'll just pop you a line here. I am doing great, been off the Entocort for a week now, and feel well enough to start a new job next Monday, without pooping myself to death......I understand your feelings about
that certain couple of people......I guess I really don't have any expectations of anyone, but I sure hate to miss communicating with you as I'm sure others do because of a couple of people's attitudes, they win then, and the rest of us lose.....well honey I've been praying those headaches go away and you keep having the real poop......tkae care, think of you often Roseanne

Hi Roseanne. I am so happy for you...I am praying for you also. Did your doc tell you if he was going to put u on something else, even tho the Entocort is working? I ask as my Doc is, but for the life I cannot remember the name. I always write things down cuz of my memory (the Epilepsy gives me a terrible short term memory), it starts with an "A", but it isnt Asacol..any ideas??? But he told me as I was leaving, so I didnt write it down! I dont know if I told you, but I also started the probiotic VSL#3. Still having the headaches, but they are getting better. I am so happy that u r going back to work (I hope u are).
What do you do at work? I joined the Crohn's Forum. So, u should look for me there and u will probably learn and help people. The diseases arent that different. hope to see u there! while I dont want to keep talking about the "issue". Just realize that Mark was told to start Entocort on 8/10, and I saw where he was asking u about on the 19th! So, darling do u see what I am saying.....HE DOESNT WANT HELP. He just wants everyone to feel sorry for him. I cant deal with that stuff, as people like you bend over backwards (like I was trying to) an he wont listen to ANY of us. Either come here or the Crohn's Forum. You are too much of a precious soul to be "used". Again, THANK YOU so much for seeking me out. It means so much to me. Be well! You r a doll!
Love,
Patti ;~)

Hey Patti, glad to hear those headaches are improving, I tried some Probiotics and wound up with some d and loose stools, so I decided to wait until I see the GI on the 25th, I'll know then if we're going to someother drugs, I know there are other drugs such as Asulfadine, but I think it's pretty close to Asadcol, I'll check it out this week. I do not what you are saying about
the other person, but I guess I just keep thinking maybe he'll go for it, I do know that having a possitive attitude really helps, look how hard you work to feel better, and you always pass some cheerful or sweet affectionate thing on.....hang in there and stay well, I'll keep praying for you, and I'll check ou the Crohn's line

the SCD.Plus, all the moderators..even Peter (the owner of HW)contacted me. Very good people, Very good. I havent seen u know who post, so I thought i would give it another shot. made too many good buds (like you) to give in ;) Hey, if we werent fighters we wouldnt be able to fight this awful disease. My gastro is going to put me on something after the Entocort..I forget it starts with an "A", but nor Asacol or ANY sulfa drugs as I am allergic. I will get the name before u go to your Gastro and u can mention it to him, and see if it is for you! Always nice to see you sweetheart. ont be a stranger!
Be Well,
Patti
