Looking for personal information from PD'ers regarding the development of dyskinesia's. I realize that each person responds to PD medications differently. As stated in my previous post, I am having difficulty remaining "on" with my current meditication regimen. Each time i visit the neurologist, increasing sinemet seems to be to solution. My current medication list is in a previous posting. Now that I have begun taking over 12 - 14 Sinemet and Parcopa tablets a day, I am beginning to notice more dyskinesia. My treatment goal is obviously to have maximum PD symptom relief with minimum meds. I have tried decreasing my Sinemet doage, only to experience increased symptoms. For those people currently taking larger amounts of Sinemet, if and when did you start noticing an increase in dyskinesias? How do you handle them?

if your meds are not working enough to kwwp you on and the amount you are taking is causing dyskenesias have you considered deep brain stimulation.
