Hi all. I just thought I would write and let you all know that I am letting myself have a small pity party today. All are welcome. Add your own pities too.
Here's mine: I have been having pain in my neck/shoulder area for almost a week. The doc wants me to do an MRI to rule out mets to the brachia plexus. On friday their office faxed the request for authorization to my insurance company. Waited all weekend and today called only to be told it could take 2 days. I am not happy about an MRI in the first place, but waiting is the pits. The pain has gotten better, but the area is puffy. (I have mets to the supraclavicle area already that has been fairly stable). I do have an appointment with my surgeon (just a follow up because I love and trust him) on Thursday and would have liked to have the report.
Thanks for letting me vent. Ok, who's next?..............

I hope your doctor can pull some strings and get that report by Thursday. You have to wait two days, that means the test is Wednesday???? Here's to hope and prayers all goes well.
My pity party today. I must have a cold, I just can't seem to stop sneezing and blowing, my throat is dry and a little scratchy. I keep taking antihistamines to dry me up and then I want to sleep. I have had two long naps today, already. And I think I could stand another one. On the other hand, no pity is necessary, I'm lucky I can sleep when I need and want to, right?

You are always welcome to vent. It makes my complaints a little less to be so worried about. I need to vent about how tired I am. I just cannot seem to get all the steam I need. We had the DGD's for a stay over last night and they just left about 1/2 hour ago. Now I am completely drained and I need to cook dinner, work on the budget and pay bills and watch two and a half men. Then it is to bed to get up on time to start all over again. I LOVE my life.

OOh, I wanna come! I can bring the brownies and the wine. Not to be tasted together, but on their own, they each have merit. Sorry you are having a down time, hopefully it will pass soon...
I am also bringing my stress to the pity part...with the houses and now packing (which is way better than stress of trying to sell it!)....

I am still waiting for the authorization from my ins. company. I cant believe they are deciding whether or not to let me do the darn MRI. They said they would have an answer by the end of business today or beginning of business tomorrow. I am so glad that I am not in excruciating pain anymore. It's just annoying. I am done, for now with my pity party. Had brownies, jello with cool whip, meatball parm. heroe's for dinner and some very nice messages from all of you friends. thank you all for your prayers and good thoughts, they are very much appreciated.

Vicky...hope you got your approval, but I'm glad you're past the pity party. I know we all must have them on occasion... in small doses, they can be very therapeutic, but getting over them is the good part!

Hi Vicky ... any news on the MRI? I can't believe you have to deal with fighting to get the test on top of even needing to have the test. Someone needs to cut you a break! You're in my prayers!
