I hate seeing him struggle for air! Poor guy! Please say a prayer for him. He is my shining light! Thank you so much!
My little guy, Jacob, (my GS) is in the hospital for asthma! He has had problems with it for years (he is 10) and last night he was wheezing, so my daughter had him use his inhaler and Advair?? (the round thing) and then he went to bed. Well I guess it got pretty bad during the night and he didn't wake her up! YIKES! He used his inhaler himself 3 times and then at 5:15AM or so when her alarm went off for work he came in and told her. She asked why didn't you wake me?! So in a few minutes they were on the way to the hospital ER and have been there ever since. He has a breathing treatment every 2 hours and has the oxygen thing in his nose (which he said is making his nose hurt and he wants to go home). They also gave him some steroids. I FEEL SO BAD FOR HIM AND WORRIED! His blood oxygen level is too low if he removes his nose thing, like 94 or so. They want it higher before they release him. SIGH I hate seeing him struggle for air! Your Jacob will be in my prayers. I know what you mean about a shining light I also have a grandson named Jacob who is 10 for a few more weeks. They are so precious. Let me know how he is doing. There is nothing harder then watching our grandchildren struggle. He is better off where he is for now and he will be home with you before you know it.

Prayers are coming his way and yours too. Grandmothers worry so much too. I pray his breathing gets easier and he can take that nose thingy off. It is bothersome.

Prayers for you, Jacob's mom and Jacob are on the way. I have first hand experience with this disease -- I can't tell you how many trips I made with my daughter to the ER between 5 and 10 years old. This asthma will get better and he will learn how to medicate himself correctly. My daughter is 33 now and still having problems, doctor just added Advair to her Proventil and Singular.

Prayers going up for you! I understand. My grandson also has asthma. I have seen him the same way. I understand completely. It is hard and scary. My grandson is 4 years old. His name is Luke. I will be remembering your little one when I do for Luke.

My oldest son, who is now 31, struggled with asthma for several years. he improved dramatically once he hit puberty and is now in good control. My prayer for your family is that this will be be the case for Jacob. I will keep him in my prayers. Blessings.

Gail, I'm late with my prayers but they'll work all the same. Hope Jacob is home by now and on the mend. It'll take grandma a little bit longer to feel well, I think.
