Hay!
I wrote here fore some weeks ago...my mam has bc. She operated 3 weeks ago and today the resolt come. It had not spred to the lumpf! I´m just SO happy! can´t understand it :-)
 
But I have some qestians...she is going to take hormons (is that tha right word confused ) What sorts of (hm..don´t have the word...like some meds make you lost youre heir...) do it give?  Is there differant sorts of hormon meds? or is it just one? How long do you have to take them?
Pleace write back if you know enything!

Is she going to take Tamoxifen? There are also some other drugs like that. Chemo is when you lose your hair usually. But it does not sound like she is going to have chemo? Now that she has the results she will learn more about her treatment. It is very good that she had no positive lymph nodes! Take good care of her and God Bless. Hugs MK

I think you mean "side effects". It's hard to tell what effects there will be unless you know the names of the drugs that she will be taking - there are lots of different ones. I'm so glad for you and your mam!!

Tamoxifen is a drug that is given in pill form. It blocks the action of estrogen (a hormone) with cancer cells if there are any still floating around. It is usually given for 5 years. Chemo is a form of treatment given in the viens and it almost always results in the loss of hair. With negative lymph nodes and an early diagnosis, your mother may not need chemo. Lauri
