re: my "ugly spot"

So, my husband called the doctor's office and read them the riot act and got me an earlier appointment.  Sometimes a crazy husband can be an asset!  He agreed it was ugly and sent me straight to the dermatologist, who also agreed it was ugly.  From the time I called to schedule the appointment to the time the ugly spot was in a petri dish was less than two hours, if you can believe that!

Now here's the strange part...I was surprised that my doctor referred me to this particular dermatologist.  My PCP is a head doctor of UC's family practice program, and he has never referred me outside the UC system before.  This dermatologist is not even closely related to the UC system.  HMMM.  So after I got the ugly spot dished, I ran into a friend who said her husband had gone to this dermatologist, but had changed doctors because it took so long to get an appointment.  Then she says, "Well, you know he was JoAnn's dermatologist, don't you?  She ablsolutely loved him."  I had no idea.

But suddenly the referral and the same-day appointment made more sense to me.  I think our JoAnnie's been looking out for me!

Love and hugs...

PS...Don't get the biopsy results til the stitches come out on the 17th.
Bev I want to wish you lots of luck. I am so glad you got it taken care of. The minute you know please let us know. These darn ugly spots can really worry you. Just what you need something else to worry about. Sure hope its just ugly. I have had several types of skin cancer and the funny part is the ugliest one was nothing. Isn't it funny how suddenly ugly can be beautiful. Here is to only ugly in the dish. L&H Joyce

Jo-Annie is undoubtedly looking out for you, Bev. What a special angel you have. I'm with Joyce in hoping this ugly spot is beautifully benign. Hugs, Lauri

Kath, That is perfect. Lady Macbeth said it so well.

Today is a gift, that's why they call it the present!

Oh I love it and I agree JoAnnie is here with you and giving us that great big grin in all these posts saying her favorite word, get the "_____" thing out! I can hear and see her now as I type. I too will pray that it is just an ugly spot. Love MK

Sorry you had an ugly spot, Bev. Hope it turns out to be nothing more than just plain ugly! That ugly spot sure picked a beautiful gal to attach to. So glad your hubby stood up for his wife. What a guy!

We're waiting for the results with you, hon.

Love,
Becky
